From working in dialogue as Post Production Lead at Liquid Violet, to founding my own independent games studio Silver Script Games, I have always been incredibly dedicated to the games industry. The power games have to connect us, to provide us with an escape from reality, to educate us, to change our minds, that's what captivates me.I've had the priviledge to work on AAA titles such as Elden Ring, Final Fantasy Remake VII, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Lies of P. Everything I've learnt working in the industry, led me to start working on my own game "The Quiet Things".In 2022 I was selected as a BAFTA Breakthrough, and as one of the MCV 30 Under 30s. I also won the Sound Hero award at Game Dev Heroes, and the Community Award at the Guildford Games Awards.Alongside all this, I also cover events for The Sound Architect as Head Writer, and am a tutor for Thinkspace Education.

ComposerSkyfish Studios Dec 2015 - Dec 2018Cardiff, United KingdomElise features a touching and emotive soundtrack, composed exclusively by Alyx Jones. Heavily inspired by collaborations between Alva Noto and Ryuichi Sakamoto, the contrast of a solo piano against growing soundscapes led to an exploration of musical segments as a part of the games sonic environments. Wwise was used to create procedurally generated soundscapes for each environment. After hearing Martin Stig Andersen (Limbo) talk earlier in the year about music concrete and audio material removed from its source, it sparked an interest in warping unrelated sound recordings to mimic various characteristics, in some of the game environments. Building on this we also used Wwise to create structural generative music systems from the many variations of piano music, created for each level. Our goal was to explore the relationship between soundscapes, music and variation, but still maintain a melodic and striking experience.Responsible for creation and delivery of all music within the game Elise Unpainted Memories and associated trailers and demos.I did all implementation in Wwise for music and SFX assets.
