- Lead product design, manufacturing and launch of powder and liquid nutritional products for both pediatric and adults in the APAC region.- Initiate, conceptualize and execute feasibility studies on new product/process concepts/improvements driven by strategic business needs in the region and globally.- Identify opportunities and engage in collaborative research with suppliers, academic, research institutions globally and interdepartmental division in Abbott on new innovative technologies for application in nutritional products.- Identify and assess emerging scientific trends in product research and ingredient technologies.- Engage in cross-functional collaboration between multiple R&D sites globally on execution of platform projects.- Establish product, process and packaging research strategy for the rapid prototype team.- Support regional marketing and consumer insight teams to drive new product and packaging concepts for the APAC region.- Develop strategic R&D projects to support intellectual property development, publications, conference presentations.- Manage resources (FTE and budget allocation) for projects.- Manage the operations of the product development laboratory including equipments, ingredient & lab inventories and trainings.- Coordinate the internship programme and training of the product development interns.

- Develop innovative product/process concepts for nutritional formulations which comply with required functionalities, regulation and safety.- Develop technologies to deliver bioactive ingredients into products and collaboratively work with cross-functional teams to carry out proof of concept studies.- Support formulation development and manufacturing of new product launches.- Support the establishment of the product development laboratory.- Certified/trained sensory panelist.

- Develop new and improved products ranging from seasonings, sauces, mayonnaise, salad dressings and margarine for the retail and food service business from concept to commercialization.- Develop troubleshooting solutions to improve processing efficiency in the plant and maintain product quality and safety.- Support the commissioning of the new factory's production lines.- Provide technical support to marketing and sales to meet the needs of the food service customers.- Review and track the regulatory and genetically modified organism (GMO) requirements of the company's product portfolios in the region.

- Promote special nutritional products to medical health professionals in hospitals and medical institutions through detailing and presentation of technical/scientific information.- Ensure penetration and repeat usage of products in key hospitals.- Develop new and manage existing contacts with a dynamic pool of influential medical professionals in the territory.- Consolidate nutrition information, external movement and competitor analysis and trend.- Organize continuous medical/nutritional education programme for the medical health professionals and other promotional activities for the territory.
