I am currently a PhD student at the University of Oklahoma pursuing research related to amphibian disease ecology and microbiomics. My interests lie in understanding population specific differences in survivorship to chytridiomycosis, specifically in elucidating the role the fungal microbiome plays in protecting amphibians from chytrid and driving chytrid diversification. Prior to this, I was a science teacher at Henrico High School outside of Richmond, Virginia. During my time there, I taught standard biology, arts infused honors biology, International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Biology, standard environmental science, and Advanced Placement Environmental science. I additionally served as science department co-chair for a year and was involved with many of my school's equity initiatives.
