Dream Big Ghana Foundation (UK) aims to bring life-saving sanitation, health, conservation, educational and economic development opportunities to communities in Ghana. We do this by raising funds to support charitable and not-for-profit organisations working on the ground in rural areas.All of our projects and programmes address one of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, recognising that:"ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests."We believe in building long term relationships with the communities we support. Our programmes and projects have developed in an organic way over a number of years, and have local leaders.We pride ourselves on keeping administrative costs as low as possible, especially in the UK. We have no central office or UK-based staff so after necessary expenses (such as out annual audit), all the money we raise goes directly to our projects in Ghana. Our donors and supporters can see exactly where their money is spent, and are kept fully informed of all our work.

I led Tech Nation's efforts to support the growth and development of innovative tech businesses, in the South West of England.Tech Nation empowers ambitious entrepreneurs to grow faster through growth programmes, networks and referrals, digital entrepreneurship skills, a visa scheme for exceptional talent, and by championing the UK’s digital sector through data, stories and media campaigns.

The Environmental Futures & Big Data Impact Lab is a £6.4m partnership of seven Devon-based, world class organisations, part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The lab offers free support to businesses looking to capitalise on Big Data and Environmental opportunities and create new products and services.The partnership consists of the University of Exeter, Exeter City Futures, the Met Office, Plymouth College of Art, Plymouth Marine Laboratory, the University of Plymouth and Rothamsted Research.Our objective is to boost inward investment and productivity-led growth by positioning Devon as a national and international centre for Environmental and Big Data analytics. We do this by bringing together the area's world-class research & development assets and data, within a business-focused innovation ecosystem; providing support and facilitating the development of new products and services.

• delivered internal and external meetings and events (for up to 200 delegates) and was responsible for all aspects of the event management (e.g. planning, guest/delegate management, health and safety, travel & accommodation, logistics, content writing and evaluation)• produced and issued EDF Energy’s B2B Director’s monthly email newsletter, and fortnightly infographics • managed a reward & recognition scheme for 1100 employees and the corresponding sizeable budget, ensuring that the processes were robust enough to satisfy the regular financial and qualitative audits• planned and organised a number of London 2012 employee engagement activities, both in the office and at the London 2012 venues• conceptualised and directed in-house video productions and drafting design and filming briefs for external creative agencies • was personally requested to undertake a six-month assignment (March – October 2013) to deliver internal communications, engagement and change management initiatives for EDF Energy’s multi-million pound Voyager project• planned, designed, delivered and consulted on a number of health and wellbeing projects and activities including a winter flu jab initiative, a ‘team based risk assessment’ and a regular ‘temperature check’ survey for both project and operational teams• was the divisional project lead in EDF Group’s international annual engagement survey; data management (multi-directional), stakeholder management, copy writing, producing summary reports and business change strategy documents• channel management and copy writing (inc. senior stakeholders, the company intranet, and the company magazine which has a circulation of 17,000 employees)• organised and contributed to communications, engagement and wellbeing focus/steering groups and forums; local, departmental and company-wide

This role was part of EDF Energy’s multi-million pound Orchard project, during which I:• Singlehandedly delivered 4-week SAP CRM training to existing employees and new starters based in Exeter and Hove• reviewed and updated training packages to reflect anomalies and changes, ensuring that these changes were consistently communicated to and accepted by remote colleagues in Hove and Sunderland• provided 1-2-1 support for customer service advisors and managers • worked with the Employee Engagement & Quality team to ensure that the training suitably met EDF Energy’s responsibilities regarding compliance and legislation • created soft skill training packages and ‘break out’ sessions to enhance and embed the systems-focused training

• Designed and delivered an induction training package about employee engagement and departmental initiatives • Researched and documented a proposal to increase visibility of the team and its initiatives online• Managed the reward and recognition scheme• Represented EE&Q during operational team meetings and delivered business updates and operational briefings• Supported departmental development by conducting call monitoring, and delivering coaching and feedback
