As part of Google's Summer of Code program, I worked with RTEMS (Real-Time Executive Multitasking System); an open-source real-time operating system.I worked on a BSP (board-support package) that allowed the RTEMS OS run on x86-64 hardware. This involved creating the glue required for the hardware-to-kernel interfaces required by the operating system.

I worked on v86, an emulator for the Intel x86 microprocessors. The emulator ran in the browser, allowing all of your native apps to be accessible through merely a browser, regardless of your actual microprocessor (so even your television could run Microsoft Word locally, without a remote server doing the processing).Given the uniqueness of this software, a lot of what we wanted to do involved heavy research and _making_ things possible that otherwise weren't, while still keeping usability, performance, and refactorability of the code in mind.As one of the first employees to join the startup, I had many responsibilities across a variety of technical domains, including the development of the emulator, building sophisticated automated test suites that probed as many emulated instructions and functionalities as possible, maintaining our devops pipeline, and profiling and improving the performance of our Just-In-Time compiler (which helped speed the emulation up by compiling native x86 assembly to WebAssembly).Technologies we worked with:- C- x86 assembly- Rust- JavaScript- WebAssembly- Docker

Auth0 is an identity-as-a-service company that simplifies and normalizes the implementation of authentication and authorization, allowing a variety of identity protocols (OAuth, OIDC, SAML, WS-Fed, etc.) work seamlessly, with flexibility to account for a variety of architectural scenarios.I provided support for B2B and B2C customers using Auth0's APIs and provided technical guidance and made recommendations based on customers' specific scenarios, anywhere from starting with Auth0 to maintaining a high-volume system.

Just when HTML5 was becoming a hot thing, I joined CodeHeads, a startup that made games for various portals online, playable on both desktops and (this was revolutionary at the time), the browsers on your mobile phones.
