I helped implement the organisation’s business plan, governance duties, corporate duties, and co-ordinate training and development activities though Co-Chairing the Staff Diverse Ability Network (Disability Network). I oversaw team budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation. I was the principal coordinator of Board meetings, managing all the logistics of the organisation’s Board meeting cycles, as well as additional support on Board sub-committees.I made it an aim to continuously identify opportunities for business improvement, and maintain strong relationships with a diversity of stakeholders across government, local government and the third sector – providing administrative and project management support. I worked closely with the Chief Executive and Chief of Staff in the execution of Barnardo's operations, strategy, governance and major stakeholder management at Barnardo's. I helped steer the charity through the global pandemic and subsequent challenge, bringing innovative solutions to complex problems and proactively leveraging new opportunities for supporting some of the UK's most vulnerable people.I ensured the the executive received high quality, effective and consistent support – helping ensure things were running smoothly, at the UK's largest Children's charity – with around 20,000 people (employees + volunteers) and a footprint reaching over 358,000 of the UK's most vulnerable children, young people and families/carers at the time. I truly enjoyed my time at Barnardo's and built professional relationships which I shall treasure.

It was after this that I stepped in as Africa programmes officer.I had the opportunity to gain valuable field experience: Administering aid to Rohingya refugees in India; Leading AKF's representation at AidEx Nairobi in Kenya; AidEx Brussels in Belgium; BOND Conference, Westminster – and numerous high-profile aid sector events. I was also the Foundation's ICO-designated Data Protection Lead.
