Ux Designer - Collaborative Project For Esg Storytelling And Behavioural Design
CurrentI had the opportunity to contribute as a UX Designer on a groundbreaking final year design engineering project, in collaboration with an IDE (2nd year) student. Our project was at the intersection of AI, data storytelling, and ESG frameworks, aiming to empower organisations to adopt sustainable practices more effectively. This endeavour was part of the prestigious Innovation Design Engineering double MA/MSc program at the Royal College of Art and The Dyson School of Design Engineering. My role demanded a deep dive into coding principles to enhance the project's technological aspects, ensuring a seamless integration of AI functionalities with user-centric designs.Key Contributions:- Collaboration & Coding: Worked closely with cross-disciplinary teams, gaining an understanding of coding essentials to bridge the gap between design and technology, particularly in AI prompt engineering.- User-Centric Design: Conducted extensive expert and user interviews to gather actionable insights, driving the design research and discovery phase to align with user needs and expectations.- Research & Analysis: Delved into ESG principles, industry standards, legislation, and frameworks to ensure our solutions were grounded in sustainability and regulatory compliance.- Prototyping & Testing: Led the wire-framing, prototyping, and testing processes, iterating designs based on user feedback to enhance usability and engagement.- AI Integration: Spearheaded AI prompt engineering efforts, crafting intuitive interfaces that leveraged AI to facilitate sustainable decision-making within organisations. This project not only honed my skills in UX design but also expanded my technical repertoire, particularly in understanding and applying coding principles to design challenges. Ux Designer
CurrentThe Immersive UX Design Course followed agile methodologies, where I was 420 hours of agile methodologies working on five projects, including visual design, coding sprints and a client project.BorrowMyDoggy App Redesign (team - concept - 2 weeks)First group project where we re-designed the current Borrow My Doggy App and improved clarity of information, and therefore user trust. The main pain point we discovered and solved with our design was the number of apps users need for planning and organising an outing with friends. We have utilised the Double Diamond Design Process to discover, define, develop and deliver the project. In this two-week design sprint, I was primarily involved in: Competitive Analysis, Screener Surveys, User Interviews, Affinity Map, Experience Map, App Map, Persona, Design Studio, Sketching, Visual Design, Prototyping (High Fidelity)Redesign of WeACT charity website (solo - UI - 1 week)UI design project to visually improve a charity’s website. This project was part of the course’s Visual Design sprint. In this project I focused on easy navigation and simple, accessible design based on the Gov.uk content Design guidelines.During this one-week project I’ve used the following methods: Research, Sketching, User Interviews, Branding (logo, colours, typography, iconography), Testing, Wireframing, Prototyping (High Fidelity), content Design, Accessibility. E-Commerce site (solo - eCommerce - 2 weeks)The brief was to create an e-commerce platform for a local Pet store. The main task was to create clear CTAs accompanied with a smooth user flow, as well as optimising the conversion rates, increasing customer retention, whilst lowering bounce rates. User Research - Conceptual Inquiry - Competitive Analysis - User Interview - Persona - Sketching, Wireframing - Testing - Prototyping (Mid Fidelity)
