Hi there! My name is Aasha. With extensive background in housing navigation and trauma informed care and research; my strengths lie in building and maintaining long lasting relationships with different parts of the communities I work with (i.e. medically vulnerably clients, unhoused folkx, landlords, property managers, and governmental/ private institutions (such as the local housing authority, health and human services department, local non profits, etc). Working at the ground level (e.g, street outreach and assisting local businesses) to working with medical personnel (current) and institutions; I plan to use my newly acquired MSW and experience to further learn about the inner workings and nuances within our localized community and ways in which creative trauma-informed community building can work to reduce houselessness in the local 831 (aka California’s most unaffordable rental market).If you are in social work or are interested in alleviating homelessness -- I would love to connect!
