Student Participant In Operational Excellence CourseElmer'S Manufacturing Jan 2022 - May 2022Altona, Manitoba, CanadaDuring the Winter 2022 Semester, I completed the Operational Excellence course (ENG4110) at the University of Manitoba. This course taught Lean Six Sigma at a green belt-level and this knowledge was applied to a process improvement project at Elmer's Manufacturing.I, along with a team of students, worked with industry participants and operators to identify the root causes of a bottleneck manufacturing process.By using tools such as the Quality Journal, Control Charts, Fault Tree Diagrams, and Process Flow Charts, the team was able to identify several sources of waste whose elimination meant a projected 15.7% decrease in cycle time for the bottleneck process. -
