Darlinghurst Theatre Company is a commercial, artist hub that involves resource sharing, economies of scale and serves 100 plus artists a year and numerous small theatre companies. The company is establishing new benchmarks for best practice in outstanding theatre.As chairman, our leadership team have worked hard to release two of it's entities - Milk Crate Theatre (working with the homeless) and Critical Stages (taking theatre to regional Australia), both thriving under their own stream. The company is also moving into a new theatre which will double the capacity to an exemplary 200 seat theatre, the 'Eternity Playhouse' in collaboration with the City of Sydney opening in March 2013. The company’s 2011 season received 11 Sydney Theatre Critic nominations and 3 awards, demonstrating the quality of the company’s program.________________________________________________________________________
