Senior Program Analyst
CurrentAs a Senior Program Analyst in preparedness and response, I focus on emerging health security-related activities. These activities include CSTE’s public health preparedness and response efforts, including response to real-world events including COVID-19, SUDV EVD in Uganda, MPOX, and others. I serve as the staff lead for the Disaster Epidemiology Subcommittee and its workgroups; the Disaster Epidemiology Subcommittee brings together STLT epidemiologists and other partners in preparedness and response to collaborate on improving all-hazard preparedness and response. Ongoing projects within the Disaster Epidemiology portfolio include the annual CSTE Disaster Epidemiology Workshop and modernizing shelter surveillance In addition to the Disaster Epidemiology portfolio, I oversee the Border/International Health portfolio and related projects. Border/International Health projects and areas of interest include binational surveillance and disease reporting, refugee health, migration and international determinants of health and emergency preparedness and response along the border. I also serve as the staff lead for the Public Health Emergency Preparedness subcommittee. In addition to programmatic and real-world response operations, preparedness and readiness at the CSTE National Office is a key aspect of my position. These efforts include coordinating and conducting preparedness and response trainings and exercises, and developing and maintaining plans.
