Delivered infrastructure assessment, provisioning, performance testing and release support on a project aimed at migrating Life Insurance and Wealth Management applications into the IFGL estate as part of a multi-million-pound business acquisition. Analysed application performance and compared results against key pre-migration benchmarks to confirm forward consistency.  Worked closely with the Operations team to meet Reliability and Disaster Recovery targets (Recovery Time Objectives – RTO - and Recovery Point Objectives – RPO) using EC2 autoscaling; load balancing (AWS ALB), health monitoring, database read-replicas and automated backups.  Managed and provisioned secure bespoke resource (VPCs, Security Groups, Security Access Keys) using Terraform in line with Business Requirements and best practices. Analysed build and release logs (CloudTrail) for performance to confirm satisfaction of project objectives and advised relevant outcomes to Business stakeholders for decision making.  Set up, triggered, and monitored scheduled jobs, release deployments and CRON jobs (Jenkins, GitHub, Microsoft SQL ETL jobs).  Introduced and developed serverless options (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Dynamo DB) wherever possible to reduce operational overhead, increase efficiency and reduce cost. Manage Docker containers, orchestrate these using Kubernetes clusters and monitor via Lens. Liaised with 1st line Business Support Teams, Investments Managements Teams etc to set up and validate user access levels (AWS IAM) across business applications to verify compliance with requirements and minimise business risk. Identified technical issues, bugs, and continuity impediments, escalated these, and worked with relevant stakeholders to achieve speedy fixes and closure using JIRA for issue tracking. Worked closely with Senior Developers, supporting release deployments and tooling configuration to application and web servers (Unix Shell, Bash Scripting, Ansible).
