My career has been focused on finding ways to use technology to solve problems and add value to unique situations. I am particularly interested in solutions to the very real challenges facing people and businesses in emerging markets. My interests tend to be on a large-scale, finding systemic ways of using modern information systems to create enormous improvements. I have spent time in almost all facets of IT: from design & conceptualization to systems & software architectures to software development (both the act and the process) to testing & deployment and finally to the support, maintenance and operations required to keep software solutions running and improving. Moreover, my experiences range from large consulting firm to large telecom company to independent consultant to stay-at-home father to entrepreneur & founder to senior management and IT/digital strategist.I've worked in nearly 30 countries on every continent except Antarctica and lived in Zurich, Switzerland; Paris, France; Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Maputo, Mozambique. As a result, I am able to adapt and work in diverse environments with many different people with multiple cultural, linguistic and familial backgrounds.
