Driven by a heart for empathic service, Amal Ali is completing her bachelor’s degree in political science and leadership studies at the University of Richmond with a minor in health studies. Interested in health policy, social welfare policy, Asian American community work, and the politicization of Muslim communities, Amal is a dynamic, inquisitive, and committed agent for change. At the core of her purpose is a commitment to dismantling barriers to health, safety, and socioeconomic security in marginalized communities. Amal looks for effective, comprehensive initiatives that advance justice while protecting community autonomy, and when she cannot find those initiatives, she brings people together to create them. She plans to pursue her passions through further education and employment upon completing her degree.
