I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the University of Leicester, where I convene the module on Constitutional and Administrative Law and also teach/tutor on the modules on Canadian Constitutional Law and the European Convention of Human Rights. In addition to my role at the University of Leicester, I serve as the Deputy Secretary General at the International Society of Public Law (ICON-S). I am also a member of ICON-S's Committee on Community and Engagement and co-chair its interest group on constitution-making. My consulting experience includes work for various governmental and inter-governmental agencies such as USAID, the US Department of Commerce, CEDAW, UNESCO, UNDP, UN Women, UNHCHR, and The SDG Fund.Prior to the University of Leicester, I was based at the University of Hamburg (2021-2024), where I undertook a multi-year research project funded by the German Government's Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) through its Excellence Strategy. Previously, I have also been affiliated with and/or held short-term positions at the University of Pennsylvania (2020-21, 2024), the National Law School of India University (2021), the Legal Priorities Project (2021), the University of Liverpool (2021-22), and Harvard University (2021-23). Earlier in my career, I worked with the Center of Ethics and the Rule of Law (2015-16), Chief Justice F.I. Rebello of the Allahabad High Court (2013-15), Citizens for Justice and Peace (2011-13), and Justice Roshan Dalvi of the Bombay High Court (2011).
