•Negotiating commercial terms to achieve optimum price levels and definite delivery schedules.•Budgeting and allocating funds for procurement and sourcing of engineering materials and equipment including but not limited to•Mechanical/Electrical/ Field Joint Coating, Piping (All Type of Valves, Flanges, Coupling, Gaskets and Other Fittings Items), •Heat Strainers, Structural Items, Fire Fighting Package and Other Package items and General Procurement. •Identifying Key Components… Show more •Negotiating commercial terms to achieve optimum price levels and definite delivery schedules.•Budgeting and allocating funds for procurement and sourcing of engineering materials and equipment including but not limited to•Mechanical/Electrical/ Field Joint Coating, Piping (All Type of Valves, Flanges, Coupling, Gaskets and Other Fittings Items), •Heat Strainers, Structural Items, Fire Fighting Package and Other Package items and General Procurement. •Identifying Key Components in the Procurement activities and ensuring timely completion of activities in order to meet the deadlines and ensuring ZERO delay in project.•Engage in extensive research and analysis and preparation of detailed reports to facilitate maximum cost effectiveness across all departments.• Synchronizing between suppliers, manufacturers and relevant internal departments. Enhancing the existing and potential supplier pool and update the Approved Vendor List.• Guide on procurement matters and prepare reports on relevant processes (i.e. Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Quotations (RFQ), bid evaluation criteria other competitive procurement tools).•Gathering new potential suppliers develop and set up a supplier data base; Ensuring uninterrupted supply chain for acquired product lines by negotiating contracts with key international & local suppliers.• Checks/verifies Purchase Requisitions in terms of procurement strategy, completeness of description/specifications, approved engineering standards, source of supply, feasibility of requirement including delivery date, estimated cost etc; highlights problems/discrepancies to originators for necessary amendment.•Assessing all procurement contracts/agreements to achieve ‘best price/best quality’ purchasing.
