I help formulate strategy and develop pipeline at the Guild. As an affiliate consultant, I work directly and hands-on with clients on new and existing data products. "Not in Our Town is a movement to stop hate, address bullying, and build safe inclusive communities for all. Our work focuses on solutions that inspire and empower communities. With film, social media, and organizing tools, NIOT helps local leaders build vibrant, diverse cities and towns."

As a founding chapter leader, I helped establish a community and organization for DataKind here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Together with the core team, chapter leaders nurture a volunteer network and and organization network, grow opportunities for collaboration, and help ensure the success of our projects. My areas of focus as a chapter leader were: building and supporting relationships with our partner organizations; integrating our values and ethics into the chapter's work; and on thought leadership through speaking engagements, workshops, and advisory activities. Toward the conclusion of my tenure, I helped create a succession plan for the chapter, and worked with DataKind's headquarters on a forward-looking chapter and network strategy.

Incorporated a company to provide business consultation on data and content management strategies. Developed a successful book of accounts in six months.

Provided lab support for an electrical engineering design group. Protoype work (SMT soldering), testing and product modification. Projects included specialized power systems design and cost reduction analysis.

Menlo Park, Ca, Us

Worked in a team of three to design a calibration system for the Advanced Modular Incoherent Scatter Radar (AMISR), a radar system being developed by SRI International for scientific study of the atmosphere. A model of the radar system was created, a calibration antenna was designed, and software was written to obtain measurements, process the data, and calculate the calibration coefficients.

Research for Displaytech, sponsored by CU's Ferroelectric Liquid Crystals Material Research Center (FLCMRC). Studied properties and applications of 'smectic-C' type liquid crystals, which have more desirable characteristics in response to external electric fields than the more common nematic-type. Studied the characteristics of various mesogens to determine the relationship between chemical structures and physical properties.
