Assess, coordinate and facilitate informal and paid supports to families supporting children with special needs in the Fraser Region.Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the Child and Family Community Services Act (CFCSA) and all relevant legislation impacting on families. Working in a youth home for youths aged 12-18; helping support youth in positive progress in multiple areas, including employment, substance and alcohol rehabilitation, life skills and self care. Connecting one on one to a variety of youth from multiple backgrounds and working with clients to help both develop individual programs and to support them in meeting their own needs.Trained in handling medication, emergency procedures, responding to suicide and drug and alcohol relapse

Completed the extensive 120 hour training on crisis intervention, focusing on immediate response and support to women who had recently experienced sexual violence, as well as understanding systems of oppression and barriers to seeking support. Actively taking calls on the crisis line and support people in distress, providing emergency referrals and maintain line standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

Coordinating volunteers for Senior Transportation Program, facilitating accompaniment for approximately 100 seniors with low mobility, providing support and feedback to volunteers.Developing extensive knowledge of community services and proving correct and prompt referrals to the public.
