This position involves maintaining an inventory of and control over scientific laboratory supplies and equipment; assists in the preparation of experiment media and solutions and assists faculty members in setting up classroom demonstrations; keeps records and makes reports. Necessary skills include knowledge of pertinent laboratory terminology, procedures, and equipment, working knowledge of elementary principles of chemistry and biology; working knowledge of preparation and dispensing of chemical solutions and receiving, storing, maintaining, and issuing chemical /biology lab supplies and equipment.

AFA Campus Ambassadors are responsible for the health and promotion of ongoing relationships with their college campus and AFA. Ambassadors organize and facilitate campus meetings to increase awareness of AFA programs to students and faculty. They support AFA Campus Champions, which are campus faculty or staff liaisons to AFA, in these and additional efforts. Campus Ambassadors assist in pre-conference activities including on-site support. AFA Campus Ambassadors also undergo media and communications training held in conjunction with the May meeting of the Student Advisory Team. As a VA work study I worked on the schools VA website, green zone initiatives, veterans lounge/space, and in the financial aid office focusing on only VA students and their paperwork. While on campus, I was involved in the Students Veterans Association for a few semesters as the President and other officer positions.The SUNY Cobleskill Student Veteran Association is a student-run organization that is an official chapter of the Student Veterans of America (SVA). The mission of the Student Veteran Association is to increase access for veterans into SUNY Cobleskill while providing them with the necessary guidance, mentoring and array of student centered services, programs and community support that will assist with their transition and ensure their academic and personal success within the college community. The purpose of the SUNY Cobleskill Veterans Association is to: Provide an organization in which student veterans can feel welcomed and receive the help that is needed to assist with transitioning and becoming a more successful student.Raise awareness and provide information about programs which are available to help our veterans.Raise public awareness of the need of our veterans and veterans' programs.Raise money for veteran support programs throughout the community.

State Line Officers are selected to represent over 4,000 NY FFA members, all NY Agricultural Education Students and all FFA chapters in the state of New York. State Officers must be proficient in a variety of forms of communication, including but not limited to: public speaking, facilitation, group discussions, written communication, online communication and basic conversation skills. State Line Officers must master time-management. They are expected to balance academic and FFA responsibilities while missing school to travel to FFA events. Line Officers are expected to miss a significant amount of school without compromising their assignments. State Line Officers will receive training and coaching sessions that will help them to perform at their highest level.
