About Amanda Belanger

I am strongly interested in exploring transdiagnostic cognitive factors across anxiety disorders, including OCD, with the intent of informing and improving treatment. I am particularly interested in anxiety sensitivity and interoception and how these transdiagnostic concepts can have implications for effective psychotherapies for OCD. Secondly, I am interested in factors that may increase suicide risk, such as alterations in interoceptive sensibility, emotion regulation, and cognitive avoidance. Finally, I am interested in OCD and comorbid trauma history and how disgust propensity may play a role in exacerbating symptoms in this context.
