The plan change will help achieve reduction, over time, of sediment, bacteria and nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus) entering water bodies (including groundwater) in the Waikato and Waipa River catchments. Waikato and Waipa River iwi and Waikato Regional Council are partners on this project, as set out in settlement and co-management legislation for the Waikato and Waipa rivers.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - PRESENT:• Liaise with the Technical Workstream Leader; Chair and Members of the Technical Leader's Group (TLG); Chair of the Collaborative Stakeholder Group (CSG); and the Project Manager. • Record and coordinate of all documentation commissioned by the TLG and contractors ensuring quality and robustness.• Attend TLG meetings; provide status update on reports; record feedback from the TLG Chair and members; action next steps until required outcome are achieved.• Ensure LGOIMA requests and other enquiries are recorded and responded to in a timely manner.• Liaise with the CSG Chair for approval to release reports to the CSG Portal and the public.MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS:• Designed and implemented the TLG Document Register and document management process, which ensures all technical reports are tracked and progressed with a full and comprehensive audit capability, and are delivered in a timely manner. • Formalised a process for collating and recording all CSG documentation to ensure integrity, efficiency and ease of accessibility. CSG documentation is recorded with full and comprehensive audit capability via the CSG Document Dashboard. • Confident relationships with TLG Chair and members, and CSG Chair and Community Engagement team. -
Project Coordinator - Sea Change - Tai Timu Tai PariWaikato Regional Council Jun 2015 - Mar 2016Hamilton East, WaikatoTEMP ASSIGNMENT - SCIENCE AND STRATEGY DIRECTORATESea Change – Tai Timu Tai Pari, a ground-breaking initiative designed to secure a healthy, productive and sustainable future for the Hauraki Gulf/Tikapa Moana. The outcome of the project will be the first Hauraki Gulf Marine Spatial Plan which will ultimately inform how the Hauraki Gulf is shared, used and safeguarded for future generations. Project partners include mana whenua, Auckland Council, Waikato Regional Council (WRC), Department of Conservation, Ministry for Primary Industries and the Hauraki Gulf Forum.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (currently reduced to focus on Healthy Rivers project):• Build relationships across multiple reporting lines - Project Manager and Project Business Owner at Auckland Council; Project Business Owner and other internal staff at Waikato Regional Council; and project Leads.• Contacts – compile and monitor contracts ensuring timely renewals of contracts, insurance and health & safety documentation. Monitor performance standards, milestones and budgets.• Budgets – monitor and track the project budget, coordinating actual costs between Auckland Council and Waikato Regional Council, reconciliations, incoming milestone funding, stakeholder expenses/reimbursements, purchasing register, forecasting. Flag any concerns.• Processes – establish end-to-end processes, document control procedures, set up and maintain project plans, registers, records and logs (i.e. management strategies for risk, quality, document configuration, communication, project plan, risk register, item records, issues register, quality register, team plans and lessons log).MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS:• Budget tracking to facilitate monthly and YTD budgeting and forecasting.• Exemplary record keeping and document management systems which has allowed both Auckland Council and Waikato Regional Council easy access to documentation, reducing the need for duplication.
