In 2021, I decided to leave my executive role and start my own business to bring more humanity to workplaces, especially healthcare organizations.I am a catalyst in creating workplaces where people thrive, feel fulfilled and can find and express deep meaning in their work. I have been described as “the greatest influencer of our collective knowledge and culture” in my efforts to inspire workplaces where people are creative, curious, open, and kind.To enable individuals, teams and organizations to be their best, I have created a framework - ME to WE to ALL. This framework allows for a culture where people actively focus on developing the self, their relationships and the organization. Only when we can think beyond the “ME” can we truly focus on the common good for ourselves, the people we serve, each other, and our organizations. ME to WE to ALL significantly enhances lives, relationships, workplaces, and communities. In these challenging times, and for pandemic recovery in health care, the conscious and deliberate development approaches offered by ME to WE to ALL are needed more than ever.Personal transformation, leadership development and organizational development are at the centre of my work. Linking corporate strategy to genuine self-discovery and self-development is imperative. I want to be part of creating organizations where personal transformation is valued and seen as a strategic advantage. I believe that when individuals are supported to make their own development a strategic priority, then teamwork blossoms and organizations ultimately become more effective, innovative, psychologically safe, and wonderful places to work.Three books that are currently having a profound impact on me are: Reinventing Organizations: A guide to creating organizations inspired by the next stage in human consciousness by Frederic Laloux; Mastering Leadership: An integrated framework for breakthrough performance and extraordinary business results by Robert Anderson and William Adams; Integration: The power of being co-active in work and life by Ann Betz and Karen Kimsey-House.

Our mission continues to be to build human-centric leaders that make workplaces better for human beings, especially healthcare workplaces. It is our core purpose to build leaders who are capable of human-centric leadership. This does not mean building leaders who are simply nice to everybody all of the time; we can be kind AND candid, create psychological safety AND hold ourselves and others accountable, and foster individual learning AND fix system failures.We have expanded our leadership development products and services to include the ME to WE to ALL 360 Degree Leadership Insights Tool, customized for healthcare leaders, including a CEO 360 with Board Competencies. We recently collaborated with HealthCareCAN and Nova Scotia Health to build the Canadian Health System Leadership Academy. We are currently in the final months of the pilot year of this inaugural program. The first year of the Academy has impacted 100 leaders across Nova Scotia, and we are seeing incredible results in terms of enhanced emotional intelligence, increased use of the coaching approach to leadership, improved psychological safety, better joy in work, stronger systems thinking for innovation and transformation, and improved collaboration across silos. The Academy leverages Humanistic Systems at Work's ME to WE to ALL 360 Degree Leadership Insight Tool, Individual Coaching services, Group Coaching services, and numerous ME to WE to ALL Leadership Enhancement Workshops. -

We set out to dramatically improve patient flow and patient care through a strategic initiative called Transformation by Design (TbyD). Our goals were ambitious - we aimed to care for more people and send more people safely home than ever before. We involved hundreds of stakeholders, built key partnerships upstream and downstream and introduced dozens of new processes. As a result, we increased our capacity to care for people by over 40 percent.The most significant improvements were:Number of patients admitted per year increased from 1905 to 2680 (while the number of beds was reduced to 245 from 347).Average length of stay in rehabilitation decreased from 76 to 31 days.Percent of patients who returned home increased from 73% to 80%. -
