As the Director of Shelter Services, I led our team through unprecedented hiring and retention challenges, growing community demands and needs, and strategic initiative execution. I worked to create disaster response plans to better serve our community during crisis - including urban fire response (with plans for shelter evacuation procedures) and active shooter response. I participated in monthly Board of Directors meetings, including several presentations on the trends in animal welfare at HSBV and across our state. In addition to the continued management of organizational data and support of Philanthropic efforts, I led the Shelter Team during a capital campaign (construction phase) that unavoidably impacted our ability to operate by creating new processes, trainings, creative and flexible schedules to prevent burn-out, and career growth trajectories for my team. As a "pace-setter" and "servant" leader I sought to drive my team while serving alongside them. During my tenure as Director, the HSBV shelter team was able to reduce employee attrition, increase satisfaction, growth, and performance, and optimize adoption/client service experience.

Serving the Philanthropy and Donor Services programs at HSBV as Philanthropy Operations Manager, I was responsible for fundraising and all organizational data. I managed HSBV's Salesforce instance for over 6 years, including implementation and migration. As Philanthropy Operations Manager, I continued to be the Salesforce database and system manager and administrator, including segmentation, analytics, and reporting. Using organizational data, I made program and campaign recommendations, while also driving HSBV's grant program growth. Additionally, I managed HSBV's online giving platforms (Classy.org), website (Drupal), and donor stewardship and event (virtual and in-person) experience efforts.

Greater Denver Area

As Marketing and Community Relations Manager, I was responsible for the maintenance, strengthening and growth of annual giving for HSBV through campaign creation, media relations, website management, online giving, as well as supporting the fundraising efforts and events of HSBV. I actively sought additional community engagement in fundraising opportunities with individuals and businesses. In support of HSBV's brand evolution and increased technological needs, I provided guidance and vision for HSBV's new website (2019) in collaboration with two resource expert partners, and now support the ongoing management of the website's content and evolution. I continued to focus on improving and optimizing multi-channel fundraising and future opportunities for expansion and maintenance of our supporter base, along with continued database coordination and management responsibilities. In an effort to increase our success, I led coordinated efforts with additional shelter teams to provide unified communication on behalf of HSBV, and work in collaboration with groups outside of HSBV and the animal welfare industry to enhance HSBV's impact on our community. I also assisted in the growth and development of the Major Gifts Program and donor stewardship.

As Senior Development Manager, I am responsible for the maintenance, strengthening and growth of annual giving for HSBV through direct mail, online giving, event registration and fundraising and assisting in bequest cultivation. Actively pursue additional community engagement in fundraising opportunities with individuals and businesses through sponsorship and other support. Continued database coordination and management responsibilities. Creating and analyzing HSBV's utilization of multi-channel fundraising and future opportunities for expansion. Led implementation and migration out of Blackbaud RE and Sphere into Salesforce NPSP and Classy platforms. Instituting adoption and utilization of Salesforce, Classy.org and MailChimp programs to grow, sustain and acquire supporters of HSBV and its mission. Coordinate with additional shelter teams to provide unified communication on behalf of HSBV. Assist in the growth and development of the Major Gifts Program and donor appreciation.

As a Development Manager, my responsibilities include: Growing and solidifying community engagement in fundraising opportunities with individuals and businesses through sponsorship and other support. Continued database coordination and management responsibilities. Analyze organization shelter and donor data, direct mail, online giving and seek to improve HSBV's utilization of multi-channel fundraising. Collaborate with Development Team for continued success in event fundraising and growth and manage registration and check-in for all major events. Evaluate and improve administrative practices and support Development Team in efforts to streamline processes. Utilize Blackbaud's Raisers Edge and Sphere programs to maintain and acquire supporters of HSBV and it's mission. Coordinate with additional shelter teams to provide a unified voice for HSBV. Assist in the growth and development of the Major Gifts Program.

Manage organization data, direct mail campaigns, assist in event coordination and planning, direct registration and on-site check in for all events, collaborate to improve administrative practices and protocol. Organize shelter statistics using PetPoint. Provide Asilomar statistics for HSBV and compile data for MDAWA while supporting MDAWA member data managers in information collection and reconciliation. Seek to improve community engagement and fundraising opportunities as well as provide support to existing community relationships. Utilize Raiser's Edge and Sphere (Blackbaud) programs to analyze donor database and enhance fundraising efforts. Work with various shelter teams to provide a unified voice for HSBV to donors, clients, colleagues, and potential supporters.

Assess dogs, cat, and small mammals for adoption program. Used SAFER and Feline-ality protocols to determine support needed for qualifying animals. Assisted in management of transfer program of over 2,500 animals annually. Maintained foster program for 700 animals annually, trained foster volunteers, provided home visits and support for animals in foster care. Responsible for intake of surrendered animals and husbandry of shelter population. Ensured satisfying client experience and resolved client issues. Administered vaccinations and medications regularly. Obtained euthanasia certification in the spring of 2013.
