I have recently graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelors of Arts, Communication Studies. I have also completed four Associates in Arts degrees from Riverside City College: Communication Studies for Transfer; Communication, Media and Languages; Humanities, Philosophy and Arts; and Social and Behavioral Studies.During my time at RCC, I was a Peer Mentor for their Promise Program. I collaborated with a team of other mentors in the Career Technical Education Center. We regularly met with students who had just joined the program to help them navigate their first year in college. I helped them find needed resources, connected them to advisors/tutors/programs, and helped them navigate RCC's registration site. I conducted meetings in-person, virtually, and occasionally through phone calls.
