10 years of professional experience in technical translation and terminology work with a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Leipzig. Although I love learning languages and also have knowledge of Spanish, Chinese and French, among others, and use them in conversations, I know that technical translation is best left to the professionals. Technical translations require a sense of subtle differences in meaning and accuracy to avoid mix-ups and confusion. In my positions, I was able to immerse myself in the development of automotive technology and measurement technology and find an infinitely fascinating linguistic world of precise terminology in the microcosm and macrocosm of technology to be fully grasped. Translation is always teamwork, behind every professional translation there is a revision in accordance with the 4-eyes principle and translations into other foreign languages that require careful project coordination. Like many of my colleagues in the field of translation, I have an eye for detail and strong communication skills, a high standard of quality (to achieve understandable and correct translation by clarifying content-related issues) and a talent for completing many different tasks and projects in parallel.
