I complete data research in new developments and state initiatives. Developing tools and procedures for data collection, building databases, forms, auditing tools or documents to support project progress and execution has been a key element in my work as Project Specialist. I was a member of the team which worked to develop the state’s Licensure database, which allows CDHS to receive alerts regarding change of status in licenses with very littles maintenance needed and maintain this database today. I visualized and developed a tool for the Division of Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement, which ensures that condition-level findings identified by QI/QA surveyors will be addressed timely and tracked with ease. I also developed and implemented the clearance tracking system for the Office of Behavioral Health, which is still being used today, as CDHS awaits the full roll out of EClearance. I continue to provide support to OBH as needed with implementation and updates upon request. I provide assistance to the Chief Medical Officer and the Chief Legal Director in technical writing for assistance for funding requests, reports, new policies or procedures. I Coordinate with across-division & across-agency staff to improve processes. Document processing and design and supporting two executives by performing as needed daily administrative functions. Project management to ensure grant compliance and effectiveness. Technical assistance, leadership and collaboration to the six local service providers of rural homeless persons. Assured all partners were grant compliant for this federal housing program. This grant served a special population of young homeless people dealing with a range of special considerations, such as low/no income, mental illness, domestic violence, veterans, substance abuse, and/or other related illnesses that impact their ability to work and find permanent housing. Through my anticipation that the federal database was ill equipped to provide us with usable data, I developed a process and database which improved and streamlined operations, as well as our six sites. I was also able to improve processes by developing and implementing new training materials. I monitored admissions, treatment progress and discharges and reported back to our Federal partners. I compiled and submitted semi-annual & annual reports to the Family and Services Bureau, as well as assisted writing federal grant applications to sustain this project's objectives. I conducted regular audits at each site's program and built corrective actions plans when needed. I was responsible for coordinating, facilitating and mediating conferences which consist of presenting new materials needed to serve the homeless and furthering collaboration between sites which were physically many hundreds of miles apart. I developed and managed this program's webpage and reported to our partners of progress, success or setbacks. I outreached to local, regional, and federal partners; clients and community members. I facilitate the Youth Leadership Team's outreach projects, some of which received national recognition. I have presented materials to groups ranging from small to large conferences of 500 people or more. I have presented at conferences locally, statewide and nationally. Show less
