New Product Development Engineer (Co-op) • Lead a collaborative team for a new project with veneer hose, did calculations for material needs and costs, drawings for design options• Inventor of new material bonding recipe for rubber and plastics, invention disclosure submitted and in process of becoming a patent• Lead collaborative teams for material replacement in 2 hose product due to REACH compliance issues, hose design builds, assemblies, shipments, cost, overall timeline of projects (DVP&R), testing, results and analysis, qualified new hose designs per Eaton and SAE specifications• Joined with Sales Team to assist with customer issues regarding products, decided new options for customer to approve• Leveraged materials background to influence projects• Presented at Ohio Northern University to the Material Science classes on the importance of Material Science within the industrial sector, share my experiences as a co-op, and promote Ohio Northern University’s Co-op Program• Participated in planting trees day with Eaton to promote environment • Coordinated donations for Toledo Area Humane Society within Eaton Maumee campus Materials Engineer (Co-op) • Evaluated material test data to ensure customer specifications were met, explored alternative materials for cost savings in current products, and communicated material concerns in new product development cases• Operated as a contractor to other Eaton branches including Aerospace, Vehicle and Electrical, along with other external entities • Attended the American Chemical Society International Elastomer Conference: International Rubber & Advanced Materials in Healthcare Expo• Volunteered with Maumee campus employees and United Way to help Toledo elementary schools set up classrooms• Volunteered as a volleyball coach for Oak Harbor Middle School and High School programs
