Amanda joined the First United team as Director of Development in the summer of 2020, and took on the Executive Director role in 2022. She has over 15 years experience building capacity in non-profits, and is focused on using her skill set to build stronger and more equitable communities. As a connector Amanda volunteers with organizations, and projects that encourage inclusion, civic engagement and social impact. Currently she sits on the Advisory for the Ken Lyotier Fund and the DTES Community Land Trust Coalition. She is also part of the team that created DTES Response — a frontline fundraising and support network to ensure COVID 19 does not disproportionately affect our most vulnerable. Amanda has a degree in Art History from the University of Victoria, a Masters in Museum Studies from the University of Toronto, and a certificate in Fundraising Management from Ryerson. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and has her Public Leadership Credential (PLC) from the Harvard Kennedy School.
