Amanda is Associate Director for Climate Crossroads at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. She began working at National Academies in 2008 as a project assistant seeking experience in the intersection of science and policy. Since then, Amanda has worked her way through administrative and research support, project finance, budgeting and grant development, and other project support roles to become a program lead, cultivating skills in proposal preparation, project management, cross-unit collaboration, science writing and communications.Amanda has an M.A. in mathematical logic (2013). She is a certified USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach, amateur ginger beer fermenter, and spends most of her free time at the dog park with her rescue pit mix. πΎ
