As Co-Managing Director of Gensler New York, the firm’s largest office with 600+ professionals, and a member of Gensler’s Board of Directors, Amanda identifies trends that impact global business strategy and design philosophy for some of the most recognized companies, including Google, Deloitte, Citadel, Wells Fargo and IBM. She’s served as advisor to top global developers like Vornado Realty Trust, Oxford Properties, Hines, and JBG Smith on the future of work and how it will transform their buildings and districts. Amanda’s ability to connect clients to a greater vision by using design as a tool to advance ESG goals has been a signature of her success. She led the design team of Etsy’s Brooklyn HQ, which achieved Living Building Challenge Petal certification, the most ambitious sustainability accreditation in the world. Amanda’s team is currently leading the design of Google’s Hudson Square campus with 550 Washington as the centerpiece, which will embody Google's future of work strategy and sustainability goals. She has been recognized by the Crain’s New York Business on the 2022 Notable Women in Construction, Design & Architecture List and as LinkedIn NextWave in 2015, which honors the top 150 professionals under 35 transforming their industries. In 2013, ENR named Amanda a 'Top 20 Under 40', recognizing individual’s excellence in their fields and efforts in giving back to their industry and communities.She has spoken at SXSW, ICFF, and the Future Workplace Summit, and her leadership on projects has led to honors, including the 2020 AIA COTE Award for Etsy and the 2019 Crain’s New York Business Coolest Offices Readers’ Choice Award for Campari’s North American HQ. Her projects and expertise have been published in Fast Company, Interior Design, The New York Times, The New Yorker, and The Washington Post. Amanda has dedicated her career to empowering the next generation of professionals. In 2019, she was honored with a National Women of Distinction award by Girls Inc., a non-profit that inspires girls through direct service and advocacy. She also serves on the organization’s National Scholarship Committee, championing efforts to provide educational opportunities in fields like STEM. Within Gensler, Amanda has mentored more than 175 young designers and architects through Gensler University programs, such as gConnect and NextGen.
