About Amanda Cayton
Hi, my name is Mandie Cayton and I have been working as a pediatric occupational therapist for the last 9 years. As a pediatric occupational therapist I have in-depth knowledge of the healthcare field and education field. As an occupational therapist you have to be creative, understand the goals of the patient, and then combine your creativity, the patients goals, and data to make a treatment plan. During the recent pandemic I began to notice how difficult it was for my students and family members to successfully navigate websites whether it be for school or telehealth. I wanted to be able to change that and make these websites more accessible and intuitive. I started to investigate how I could make a difference and landed on a UI/UX program because not only is it creative but also relies on data to make informed decisions.
