Game Design Student set to graduate at the end of October with a previous Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Computer Technology. Servicing others in the food, nonprofit, and financial industries for nearly 10 years and ready to find my final place of service in the video game industry. With my experience in database management, scheduling, task tracking, programming, trouble shooting and software training, I feel that I would be an asset within the industry through a production role. I am certified in Atlassian’s Jira and Microsoft Excel. I have worked heavily in Confluence, Trello, and Perforce for the past several months. I have taken several courses in project management where I learned scrum and agile methodologies. I am an expert in most of the Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications. I am also quite well-versed in Adobe Illustrator, Spark, Acrobat, and Premiere. I have also interned and worked in the producing of live entertainment.I journeyed into the realm of gaming out of respect for the art of video games and wanting to be a part of something big that creates joy in others. I had grown to love video games through my friends ever since I was a child. It always seemed to be the thing that brought people together. One day I had an acquaintance ask me, “If you could do anything, with no limitations, what would you do with your life?” I responded with, “I would be working in the video games industry.” I didn’t even know that was my passion until that very moment but that sparked something in me to make that dream a reality. Now here I am, two years later with a degree in Game Design and eager to start my new career. I have had the opportunity to work in multiple team projects throughout school. I am currently working on my Capstone Project which has taken place over the past four months with the same group of talented designers for the length of the project. I am acting as the Head Producer on the project where I create and revise Jira issues, monitor sprints, and customize the filters and dashboards so they best suit our team needs. I am managing documentation within Confluence and keeping minutes during team meetings. I was able to design the stealth gameplay and script the mechanics using Unreal Engine 5.My goal is to become a producer by starting out as a production assistant, program coordinator, or an equivalent production role. I look forward to assisting a studio achieve its goals and working in a team of great individuals who feel the same way.
