In the labs of Professor Samuel I. Stupp, I performed research focused on regenerative medicine at the Simpson Querrey Institute for BioNanotechnology at Northwestern's medical campus in downtown Chicago.Developed a biomaterial delivery system that releases a hydrophobic drug and enhances the drug’s efficacy for the treatment of cardiovascular disease.Acted as the primary liaison for 4 collaborative projects with medical doctors, biologists and materials scientists with applications in diverse research areas.Lectured as an assistant teacher for a graduate level chemistry class, “Materials and Nanochemistry”.

Advisor: Kian L TanShowed efficient and highly regioselective hydroformylation of sulfonamides under mild conditions using a catalytic directing ligand.Developed first enantioselective reaction using an enantioenriched catalytic directing group.Extended methodology into organocatalysis by synthesizing several amino alcohol based directing catalysts which perform highly enantioselective desymmetrization reactions and site selective functionalization reactions.
