• I write and edit articles about regulations for transport and storage of dangerous goods. I cover a wide range of topics including:
• safe transport of lithium batteries;
• changes to labelling and packaging requirements for transport of hazardous chemicals; emergency response for dangerous goods incidents;
• adaptation to climate change and natural hazards at facilities that store hazardous chemicals;
• rail safety for dangerous goods transport; and
• the impact of the energy transition on dangerous goods transport.

I helped to significantly expand Chemical Watch News & Insight's coverage of regulations on transport and storage of dangerous goods.

I have written articles for both online and print publications including ESA, Astronomy Now, BBC Sky at Night, All About Space, NASA's Astrobiology Magazine, Skymania News, and Sen.

I wrote news and feature articles for The Chemical Engineer magazine, with a particular focus on climate policy as well as how engineers can help to provide solutions to deal with the climate crisis.I attended the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow, where I managed a live blog throughout the summit and wrote several features on the outcomes.

I was the Editor of Popular Astronomy, which is the magazine for members of the Society for Popular Astronomy. I brought in new areas of content, established an editorial team, helped to redesign the magazine, and commissioned and edited articles.

My research involved analysing the spectra of exoplanet host stars and improving the accuracy and precision of the stellar parameters. I was responsible for organising the UK Community Exoplanet Conference in 2015.

I was the Assistant Editor of Popular Astronomy magazine prior to becoming Editor.
