Following high school graduation, my first position was in the restaurant industry where I gained experience and skill working with the public. Multiple interactions allowed me to understand a variety of customer related issues and develop effective solutions to meet their needs.My next adventure was in the healthcare industry where I was required to provide more intimate attention to customers/clients by helping with many of their basic needs. I enjoyed the experience and will fondly remember many of my clients.I returned to my former employer for better income than was available at Quality Care Services. Within a month I was offered a promotion as the Certified Trainer for servers. My position there ended when I accepted a position with a large non-profit organization in Beaumont. The Southeast Texas Arts Council promotes knowledge and appreciation of the arts and humanities in Jefferson, Orange and Hardin Counties by providing financial assistance, publicity, administrative resources, and advocacy to other non-profit organizations.I have become a technically-adept office assistant with advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and gained experience creating Excel databases and PowerPoint presentations. Additionally, a large part of my responsibilities are to promote the activities of the organization through social media. In this capacity, I am very skilled at marketing the programs and services provided by SETAC.At this time, I am pursuing additional challenges to gain skills and experiences to add to my resume and would like to contribute my energy and efforts in a new direction.
