My role with RetireAustralia in community engagement and business development gives me personal and professional fulfilment. I am passionate about working in the retirement sector as part of the new development team, a role that constantly evolving and providing professional interest and growth. Working with our Queensland portfolio of new development gives me the opportunity to work with local community businesses and groups to continually adapt to meet future resident and community expectations.Joining RetireAustralia in July 2017 as Community Engagement and Business Development Coordinator for established RA villages, I have enjoyed working closely with village managers and our residents to ensure each village is part of the community, known in the local area and - most importantly- that we have a vibrant and happy community of residents.Commencing my career in the retirement sector with the Oak Tree Group provided me with an excellent understanding of the development and running of independent living retirement villages and it was a pleasure to work with a company that was growing and owner-operated, with management having built the business from the ground up.Prior to moving to the retirement sector my career background was quite diverse, having worked across many industries including Journalism, Marine Survey, and Public Relations. Prior to Oak Tree I worked in London and Singapore, working for well-known companies such as Australian Consolidated Press and Ingress.
