I worked with talented, hard working individuals to create the most delicious food and inviting atmosphere. I was specifically involved with maintaining order in the FOH: scheduling, training, ordering products, creating menus, tracking/bench marking sales and managing customer service. I managed 8 employees during my time at the bakery.Achievements:-created/designed/managed a summer art/crafts vendor market that ran weekly to increase revenue during the regular slow period. Resulted in overall revenue increase by bringing in vendors audience and offered more value to existing customers. My job at Detour was all encompassing. My main objective was to market specialty coffee. Detour's product line ranged from; retail coffee bags (sold online, in store, via wholesale partners and at the Detour Cafe), coffee subscription services, merchandise, wholesale/restaurant and office coffee programs. My duties consisted of managing Detour's website using Shopify's retail eCommerce platform and DEAR Inventory management system. I updated product information/prices/inventory levels/ SEO and created physical and digital marketing materials such as: landing pages, banner ads, coffee information cards and product listings using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign, as well traditional product photography methods. I circulated new product info to customers using both Campaign Monitor and MailChimp email software. I grew the online community for Detour Coffee Roasters, Detour Cafe & Dear Grain Breads by managing social channels such as: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook & LinkedIn using the content planning/management system Hootsuite. I was responsible for representing Detour at all major coffee trade shows executing a professional booth, scheduling staff and making sure the relevant information was being presented to the public and trades accurately. I worked closely with local printing companies, designers and lifestyle experts to achieve successful marketing results.

Being obsessed with outdoor adventure gear it was natural for me to share my passion with the customers at Atmosphere sports. Working during high school at North By Northwest adventure apparel, I wanted to continue filling my head with knowledge of just how breathable a 3-ply Gore-Tex product was, how light the newest Keen shoe was, how far you could paddle in a Azul kayak. These are the things I focused on and in turn could sell an amazing adventure experience to the greenest of outdoor adventure!
