As an undergraduate I assisted the Thielges Lab Group in the expression of cytochrome f and plastocyanin mutants using site-directed mutagenesis in prokaryotes. After graduating with a chemistry major and a biology minor, I enjoyed switching gears by working in retail. In less than two years I have been promoted three times due to my customer service skills, my ability to inspire a team, and my self-motivation. Now that I have developed my management and people skills I am looking to rejoin the laboratory research community.
