As a coach, I draw on over 30 years' experience as a business leader, director and lawyer. I particularly enjoy working with debut leaders as they transition from technical experts to effective business leaders - reframing their objectives and creating systems to underpin their future success. I work with leaders on diverse leadership challenges, including: • developing effective business strategy• agility and leading change (due to acquisitions, restructurings or other external factors)• assessing, engaging and developing a team• managing stakeholder relationships and• effective communication. I am a passionate advocate for women and others whose career progression may be impeded by organisational or societal bias and have experience of effecting organisational change to foster equitable opportunity.Although I have deep industry experience in professional and financial services, I work across many sectors.My extensive leadership experience informs my coaching. For 8 years I was on the executive team at an international law firm:• assessing potential business mergers• leading on a significant business acquisition • leading post-acquisition integration and planning, leading to the doubling of income over a period of 5 years• reviewing the performance of an international office, ultimately resulting in its closure• managing a significant profit and loss account• managing through consecutive economic downturns and the Covid pandemic• refreshing, leading and developing teams and• fostering an inclusive culture.As financial services industry leader, I led an industry-focused multidisciplinary team to grow profile and relationships in, and income from, the financial services industry. In this context I was also a frequent public speaker and media commentator. As relationship partner for the banking group which made the largest sustained contribution to firmwide income, I elevated the firm's profile and relationships, transforming the relationship to that of trusted adviser. I was a board member during the global financial crisis, contributing to decisions on restructuring and redundancies and temporary implementation of a 4-day week. As a lawyer, I have over 30 years' experience advising lenders and large businesses on debt funding.Having worked with coaches as a leader, I understand how valuable a good coach can be. My aim is to create the optimal conditions for you to access your best thinking, to provide constructive challenge (drawing on my business experience) and to help you develop practical and impactful action plans.
