I am a Principal Forensic Psychologist for Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership Trust. Split between providing consultancy within a Community Forensic Service for Learning Disability & Autism Services and as an inpatient Psychologist on a specialist Autism ward at Brooklands Hospital.Prior to this I worked within Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) for four years. This position comprised of two discrete roles, the first utilised my expertise in the areas of Personality Disorder, Trauma & Attachment and Consultancy for the Offender Personality Disorder pathway within the Probation Service. The second saw me provide Psychological input onto an Intensive Care Unit within an adult male Medium Secure Unit utilising my skills within Trauma Informed Care, Violence and Sexual Risk Assessment and CBT / CFT / ACT / Schema Therapy Skills. Previous to this I have 12 years’ experience within the Prison Service. I have an area of expertise of working with High Risk violent offenders within both an assessment and treatment capacity. As well as conducting complex risk assessments and reports frequently requiring me to deliver Psychological information in a formal setting, including Parole Hearings. I have also had a number of years experience working within Hostage incidents, holding the role of a Hostage Negotiator Advisor providing Psychological support and information to incident controls and supporting with training and policy writing within this field. I have line managed and supervised a number of Forensic Psychologists in Training and have Treatment Managed multi-disciplinary teams to deliver Offending Behaviour Programmes. I consider myself to be a compassionate and nurturing supervisor and have successfully supported individuals completing the training and gaining fully qualified positions.
