Dove © has provided self-esteem education to young people in schools across the UK to allow the delivery of workshops in schools. As a health educator, I conducted self-esteem education that was delivered via one-hour workshops in schools. The workshops, which are funded by Dove © and therefore completely free to schools, aim to give 11-14 year old pupils the tools to build positive self esteem and provide a platform for group discussion on image related concerns.

• Planning, teaching and assessing on a range of health & social care & child development learning and development programs across all levels of qualifications offered within the college including full and part time programs.• Conducting interviews of potential students wishing to enrol on programs within department.• Managing two course teams of seven staff members, monitoring attendance, retention and achievement and learner support.• Working effectively with individual students who are experiencing significant learning difficulties. Liaisons with LEA support staff, Connexions and outside agencies in order to try and identify the barriers preventing their learning and offering support to achieve effective reintegration back into a learning environment with needed support for achievement.

• Teaching Elementary Grade 3 (Primary, 8-9 year old) in language arts, social studies, science, poetry, spelling, mathematics, reading, religious education and health• Developing and executing lesson plans for all curriculum areas• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests• Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate• Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments in order to evaluate students' progress• Confer with parents or guardians, teachers, counsellors, and administrators in order to resolve students' behavioural and academic problem• Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress, and to determine their priorities for their children and their resource needs• Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations• Enforce administration policies and rules governing students• Confer with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula• Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guest speakers or other experiential activities, and guide students in learning from those activities• Supervise, evaluate, and plan assignments for teacher assistants and volunteers• Sponsor extracurricular activities such as clubs, student organizations, and academic contests

• Assisting local communities in coordinating and providing services to at-risk families. Its purpose is to decrease criminal activity, improve school attendance and performance, and inspire adolescents to be more positive, goal-oriented individuals• Undertaking comprehensive assessments of needs for those referred to the community mental health center• Offering direct support and advice to children and their carers through counselling • Ensuring a balanced approach of accountability, competency development and community safety in providing quality services that address the needs of clients, individual victims and the community• Providing treatment within a therapeutic setting and a safe controlled environment in which counselors teach the adolescents how to develop social skills, interpersonal relationship skills, self-control, and insight.
