    I have the pleasure of managing our Team Member Relations and Leave of Absence teams for O'Reilly Auto Parts; two areas that are highly complex and heavily regulated by federal, state, and local laws.Our Team Member Relations team researches and/or investigates team member concerns and makes recommendations that effectively promote positive employee relations and company operations. Team Member Relations ensures our managers have the knowledge and tools needed to comply with numerous federal, state, and local laws and coaches managers as they identify policy violations, address performance and attendance issues, and approve progressive discipline and separations of employment. This team effectively navigates complex employee relation issues by perpetuating good management principles and mitigating as much legal employment liability as possible in the day-to-day operations of O'Reilly Auto Parts stores, distribution centers, and corporate departments. Our Leave of Absence (LOA) team is responsible for managing the LOA program for the entire organization which includes determining leave eligibility, communicating with the employee and management during the leave of absence, and partnering with our leadership teams to evaluate fitness for duty/return to work forms. In addition, our LOA team facilitates the interactive process for medical accommodation requests and provides recommendations to management regarding reasonable accommodations within the boundaries of company policy, federal, state, and local law.
