TRANSLATOR - RESEARCHER - EDUCATORA musician and educator since 1980 (Ph.D. in musicology) and a translator since 2009 (Dip. Trans.IoLET; Chartered Linguist). As a translator I specialise in academic texts but have worked in a wide range of fields. My clients include prestigious organizations, musicians, artists, authors, faculty and postgraduate students in the USA, Britain, France, Germany, Switzerland, China and the Antilles. Having spent over 30 years in the field of education I am dedicated to enabling my students to realise their full potential, whether in languages or music. I have moderated national music examinations and organized and led music workshops at all levels.My research involves work on music and gender, authenticity, identity construction through music and language, and the historical ex-pat experience. An active editor and peer reviewer, I am also Communications Officer of the National Coalition of Independent Scholars.
