About Amanda Hatcher
“Grow through what you go through.”First generation, college graduate working to heal generational trauma both personally and professionally. Trauma has an everlasting impact on those who encounter it. There is no rule book to life because it is different for everyone. One thing I do know is, there is always room for growth (a little bit of grace). You never know when the clock is going to run out of time, so keep going. I have 6 years professional experience, including 3 years of supervisory experience in the human service field. Majority of my time as a professional has been working with non-profits. I strive to work alongside others increasing acceptance, life skills, growth, and understanding. I am a strong advocate for safety, especially in my current position with Child Protective Services. Safety has to occur in order for the true healing to begin. Vulnerability can be the strongest trait of a person, but also the most risky. I strive to find creative ways to meet others where they are at in life in order to create solutions for growth and independence. My professional experience includes work in domestic violence, sexual assault, trauma, developmental disabilities, human trafficking, crisis intervention, case management and abuse and neglect. With a criminal justice educational background, I am interested in our legal system and working along side victims/survivors to advocate for their rights. I aim to grow as a professional by furthering my education and experiences. I have a goal to obtain a MSW in the future. I am open to exploring training, networking opportunities and finding ways to be more involved within the communities I serve.
