Hi, I'm Amanda, a Senior Project Manager at University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD). With over 30 years’ experience, I am an expert in driving successful commercial and industrial initiatives. I am Prince 2 trained.In a nutshell, my role involves building valuable connections between businesses and the University to create impactful projects that benefit all stakeholders, including our students. As the driving force behind Smart Partnerships and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships at UWTSD, I establish strong relationships with industrial partners, aiming to generate a positive economic impact for businesses.Until recently, I was a key member of the MADE Cymru team, dedicated to growing the manufacturing sector in Wales through strategic upskilling initiatives and research and development. I successfully supported a cohort of 400 manufacturing students, guiding them to achieve qualifications in innovation management and industry 4.0.Prior to that, I gained valuable experience in various departments at UWTSD, including Commercial Services, Estates, Accommodation, and Registry. This diverse background has provided me with a comprehensive and holistic understanding of the inner workings of higher education, giving me a unique perspective and insight.I am passionate about promoting good mental health in the workplace, and I actively engage in training initiatives to drive this important cause forward. I am a advocate for the positive impact of exercise on mental well-being, and you'll often find me at the gym.
