Ever since I was a little girl, it has been my dream to help people. When people would ask me what I wanted to do with my life, my response was always "I want to make a difference in people's lives, even if it's just one person". This passion that I had is what led me to Sociology. I wanted to understand the world around me in order to help the communities around me.I finished my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a minor in Political Science at the end of 2021. I pursued these subjects because I believe in the importance of the voices of communities of color. I have interned on a congressional campaign to get more POC elected into office, researched housing/rent policies in the city of Los Angeles and how that affects communities of color, presented on the topic of increasing voter turnout within the Latinx community, and much more.Currently, I attend USD Law with an interest in public interest. It is important to me that the community gets served in a way that benefits them. I hope that my presence in my community, as a member or as a future attorney, impacts someone's life.
