I have 27 years experience in occupational therapy. I have worked with children and young people for 24 years. This has included assessing and treating children and young adults with a range of difficulties, including developmental coordination disorder, sensory processing disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, attachment issues, autism and emotional and behavioural difficulties. I specialise in sensory integration assessments and therapy and am an Advanced Practitioner in Sensory Integration. I provide occupational therapy in local schools. This includes assessments, training, sensory diets, recommendations to improve function, occupational therapy programmes, and strategies to increase self regulation. I provide training for parent groups, schools, local authorities, charities and professionals, e.g. sensory processing difficulties, self regulation. I complete independent assessments requested by parents and professionals. I prepare expert occupational therapy reports for SEN tribunals. I have completed legal training with Bond Solon.
