I am a recent graduate (‘13) at the University of Toronto Mississauga and Sheridan College. While there I was challenged creatively to showcase my talents as an artist and art historian specializing in Fine Art History and Studio Art. Both degrees have enabled me to expand my knowledge in the arts and their importance to all functions of life. Particularly, in understanding and appreciation for gothic architecture, 20th century design, painting and the physiological effects of the arts. My newfound skills have allowed me to develop as an Art Director, organizing, and promoting several of my piers works in exhibitions. I find joy myself in painting and exhibiting several of my own works focused around the themes of institutions, school experiences, language and psychological expression. I have a vast knowledge of mediums with the ability to work in print, sculpture, design, drawing and my preferred medium oil paint. In addition, close visual analysis has developed my attention to detail and appreciation for the old timely techniques of the masters, which I have researched in extensive detail along with patronage and courtly art. Interestingly my studies have not left me after graduation, I continue to do research in patronage and courtly art and I feel the reason for this is because I have found my passion. I also believe that this attribute for continuous learning creates a good work ethic, which I apply to my own studio work.Art in general has also been a great healer and friend to me, I often find myself getting lost in my own creations allowing me time to relax and release negative energy. I have great aspirations in art and hope to achieve my goals of being an Art Director, Art Therapist or Curator. Art is everything and anything. Thus, my goal is to improve the visual experience and welling being of people through art.
Listed skills include Oil Painting, Drawing, Figure Drawing, Graphic Design, and 19 others.
