During my time as an Operator, I have worked for GLY and SKANSKA. My duties have been to run the exterior high rise building manlift as well as interior elevators once installed. I am responsible for checking the manlift’s daily to ensure they were operating safely. I ensured the loading docks were clean and clear of debris. I scheduled deliveries and coordinated the manlift and freight elevator with sub-contractors. I communicated daily with all subs regarding material that was needed to get into the building. I worked with the Safety team to ensure all OSHA and state requirements were followed.

I started my career with the Department of Corrections after a vigorous and in-depth hiring process, followed by the training Academy. After passing the required testing through the Academy I was placed on my assignment. I worked at all the facilities in the Monroe Correctional Complex which houses approximately 2,400 male incarcerated individuals. My five day a week post was at the Washington State Reformatory as a Unit Officer. I was responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the facility. Managed incarcerated individuals on-unit jobs, including hiring, performance evaluations, terminations as well as processing timecards. While with DOC I documented interactions, conducted cell searches, worked with investigations when suspicious substances were located, preserved the evidence and issued infractions as required by policy. I worked closely with the unit supervisor to ensure the unit was complying with Washington State regulations. I worked with all security levels of inmates. I reported to high level State employees for audits and compliance.

I was brought on to help the Everett branch because of my ability to “think outside of the box”. I was responsible for training new recruiters as well as recruiting for internal hires. I processed new hire paperwork to include E-Verify. I ensured that all job postings were up to date and eye-catching. I held in-house and onsite job fairs to connect with candidates for a multitude of jobs. I was responsible for handling and processing modified work duty/working’s compensation claims. I built connections with clients outside of the company to ensure more resources were available when needed.

I worked closely with the sales team and recruiters to ensure they were aware of waiting interviews and or meetings. I worked with executive personnel and handled their meetings and calendars and ensured their needs were met. I organized the front office and maintained office supplies. I always provided courteous customer service. As a Customer Support Associate, I was responsible for verifying eligibility to work in the US, processing payroll, drug screening, setting up new hire profiles in the database and delegate or address any issues that would arise from a contractor or client. Maintain a professional working relationship with a large group of internal employees. As an on-premise admin/recruiter at Waste Management I worked directly with upper management to ensure contractors were meeting expectations, following procedures and taking action when needed. I conducted safety walks and ensured all required personal protective equipment was always worn while on site. I worked with very minimal supervision. I also conducted bloodborne pathogen training for new contractors.
