Software Engineer
• Designed a rules engine using Java, React, and Redux for cybersecurity analysts, hosted on AWS, built with fully automated deployments using CICD tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, Selenium, Ansible, etc., used 24/7 by critical cybersecurity analysts• Routinely measure customer engagement and satisfaction of in-house cyber apps• Built a tool from start to finish to visualize the network traffic going into and out of all of Capital One’s subnets• Designed a dashboard using D3.js and React to report technology metrics to our CIO and his senior leadership team, hosted on AWS, used regularly• Developed a full-stack product from scratch using React and Vis.js to visualize machine learning algorithms and results, hosted on AWS, that is now used by all of Capital One for onboarding associates and contractors• Provided value propositions both within and outside of Capital One that led to web app being used for all 40,000+ Capital One associates• Converted passion for Amazon Alexa into creating two live public Alexa skills (CodeComments and ShortJokes), a conference talk to around 60 people that had the best ratings in the conference’s solutions track, and a blog post on Capital One’s public DevExchange forum• Deployed a log parsing application to our production AWS environment, having had no prior AWS experience• Was one of the first Capital One associates to become AWS Solutions Architect certified, rewarded with recognition from our CIO Rob Alexander• Designed and taught three courses to 100+ associates on how to get AWS certified, leading to tens of associates getting certified themselves• Filled the Data Lake with cybersecurity analytics and threat detection data• Spearheaded early and immersive adoption of Agile for our development team• Filed a patent for a machine learning algorithm and methodology titled "Systems and Methods for Access Management"• Achieved two AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect and Developer) and has been AWS Certified for 3 years
